Totteridge u11s continued their run with a thrilling win over a very strong Ealing team.
TMCC batted first and posted 119-7 on a tired pitch. Everyone chipped in but we managed a big final over to put the west London side under pressure. Ealing could only manage 115 in reply with tight bowling from the entire attack and superb use of in/ out fields from the captain, Luca Patel. Rafi Quint was probably the pick of a very miserly bowling crew.
Ealing have been national champions several times over, and regularly have over 500 junior members in a season. The boys realise how they've achieved by starting to compete at these levels in recent seasons. When put into the context of only having a junior section for a decade and being in the lowest divisions 8 years ago, this is a significant moment in the growth and development of our club.
Congratulations to all involved. It was another belter of an evening in the bar!! We press on...
