2s beat Luton Town & Indians by 86 runs

The 2s began the 2020 campaign in fine style with a comprehensive 86 run victory over Luton Town and Indians 2s at the Ridge.
Having won the toss, skipper Rizwan Siddiqui elected to bat and a solid opening start by Nick Schilds and Charlie Plummer (72) was followed by a blistering 58 ball 90 by Rob Symes at No 3.  Charlie was the mainstay of the innings , batting through to the 40th over and as the fielders tired, TMCC upped the run rate to reach an imposing 251-6 in the alloted 45 overs.
Debutant Hassan Ali (9-0-45-2)and JK (5-1-0-18) opened up for TMCC and LT were soon on trouble following a stunning catch by Amir Mapara at gully off the bowling of Ali. Sharkey (7-1-20-2)replaced Ali and immediately picked up two wickets from which LT never recovered. Eklavya (7-1-19-1) , Adnan (9-2-19-2) and Amir (4.2-0-32-2) , shared the remaining scalps to ensure an early finish of our first game in this most unique of summers.
