Totteridge Millhillians Cricket Club Won by 74 runs

Match report A superb bowling performance helped Totteridge Millhillians to beat Berkhamsted by 74 runs on Saturday in Division One of the Saracens Hertfordshire County Cricket League and re-ignite their hopes of promotion.

Although they went into the match lying in third place, Totteridge have struggled in recent weeks, but they returned to form in style to comfortably beat the team immediately above them in the table.

Skipper Shaun O’Brien made a brisk 30 after hosts Totteridge were inserted, but it was recent arrival Dinesh Ramalingam who was the main contributor in a score of 175 with a fine innings of 67.

Hasan Mahmood and Asif Sutaria made early breakthroughs when Berkhamsted replied, but a third-wicket stand of 50 put the visitors in a strong position.
However, the introduction of former England international Peter Such sparked a collapse which saw the last eight wickets fall for the addition of just 31 runs as Berkhamsted were dismissed for 101. Such ended with figures of 5-27 from a devastating ten over spell of high quality off-spin bowling.
