Match report Rain frustrates Totteridge Millhillians....

Once again it seemed the Gods had conspired against the TMs finishing a match whilst all the other games in the league came to a conclusion, leaving the home team still in third place but with a sizeable points gap between themselves and the top two.

In overcast conditions visitors Dunstable won the toss and elected to field. An early breakthrough was made as Aniket Gocoldas fell in the 4th over followed quickly by Chris Mason. It was at this juncture that in-form skipper Shaun O'Brien (101) and debutant Javed Soomro (15) came together and with a mixture of resolute defence and controlled aggression put together a 50 run partnership.

Similar to last week O'Brien continued to plough a lone furrow following Soomro's departure, partners came and went and eventually he reached a superb second successive league century and in the process took the total to 199-9 off 52 overs. Considering that the next highest score in the innings was 15 this demonstrates just how reliant the TMs have become on their star skipper of late.

As the Dunstable innings commenced rain was in the air and unfortunately for both teams the umpires were averse to getting even slightly wet so despite Hasan Mahmood ( 6-2-18-2) and Dinesh Ramalingham ( 1.4-7-0-1) picking up wickets and reducing Dunstable to 50-3 in the 16th over, play was abandoned for the day and the match declared a draw (as the required number of overs had been bowled - 40 in the first innings).
