Imran Khan led from the front to secure a comprehensive 110 mauling of visitors Sawbridgeworth 2s and in the process returned record figures of 16-4-46-8.

Sawbo won the toss and elected to field and with the score on 40-3 in the 10th it looked a good decision. However a 4th wicket partnership of 102 runs between Javed Soomro (79) and Sarfraz Ahmed (47) set up a final total of 239 all out in the 50th over with a useful cameo from Aleem Hussain (28).

With the pitch devoid of any grass and due to lack of watering resembling a subcontinental dustbowl, who else but the spin twins of Imran and Sameen Khan (fresh from their previous week's batting heroics)to open the bowling with old ball.

...and if it was not for Sawbo No 5 Prashant Lele's 69, it really would have been embarrassing , as it was the opposition was shot out for 129 with Imran picking up his 8fer and Sameen (11-1-55-2)a brace.

As the second half of the season commences, the 2s are still some 20 points off the promotion zone but with the middle order finding some form, the lads are looking forward with renewed vigour to the rest of the campaign.
