Match report We won the toss and again, confident of chasing, asked LG to bat first. James Marshall and Asif Sutaria opened the bowling. A quick change worked wonders as Shaun O'Brien came on and took two wickets in his first over, the 7th of the match, then James chipped in and they were struggling at 20-3. Shaun took another 2 quick ones so had them under the pump at 33-5. All bowling changes worked wonders as Hasan Mahmood then came on, and bowled nicely taking 2-11 reducing the hosts to 55-7. After a minor recovery yet another bowling change, the introduction of spin in the form of Vishal, brought about another two wickets, the 2nd a brilliant catch on the boundary by Rakesh. James took the final wicket and left the hosts 92 all out.
While we lost James Marshall 2nd ball, Shaun and Rakesh consolidated until Rakesh fell for a well-worked 17. Lg were briefly encouraged by a minor flurry of wickets but we knocked the modest target off for 4 wickets down in 22 overs
Shaun capping an excellent day with ball, captain's hat and the bat, making an excellent and rapid 68 not out.
