Match report It all started off so well, the sun was shining and although we lost the toss the oppossition opted to bowl, placing us in our prefered position of batting first. Zoe and Ros took to the crease and got off to a lighting start with Ros hitting two fours in the first over. The pace stayed as the pair were averaging five runs an over, until Ros came unstuck with a lovely in swinger from the oppo. Tolly came in for a brief spell before making a very brave call and getting run out. Emma came in and following captains orders, kept her head down and made sure she got her eye in before releasing the aussie magic. After another five overs, after a series of wides Zoe was out for a straight ball which she decided to swing at (doh!) and was out. Good news was, Julie was in and just like Em, got her eye in and then went for it. We finished our innnings with a comfortable 114-3.

After a quick break we went into bowl. Ali was saved for number 3 and Zoe and Caz opened to see out the openers. The first (and only wicket) came in the second over from Caz. Not letting the batsmen get too comfortable, Ali was brought in the seventh over and got to work. Just as Hamsptead were matching our average in the eleventh over, the heavens opened and the match was abandoned for Tim's roast dinner - yum!
