Match report Just a quick one this week I'm afraid as have patients waiting . . .

TM's lost the toss and were forced to field in the drizzle! Ali and Caz started the bowling and for a while we were feeling quite confident as runs were contianed to the odd single and at 7 overs the run score was 21! Then came the first wicket and in came the oppostions number 3 who marmalised our balls around the ground. Different tatics were employed to contain the runs, but only Aileen presented her with any problem, but would not cave in to give an edge for Julie to snap. Emma with a bad back, took two further wickets, but unfortunately the damage had been done as we left the field chasing 150-3.

However, we went into bat with our heads held high and determined to match the total. Wickets came quickly and with no stabilisation (except for Tolly who put up a gallant affort until being caught with a potentialy great shot into the covers - would have been fine if inspector gadget arms had not been fielding there). We ended the match reaching 87-10 so yes we lost. We are now on intense batting training and next week will be a different story . . .
