Totteridge Millhillians Cricket Club Sunday XI v Harringay Libraries on Sun 13 Jun 2010 at 1:00pm
Totteridge Millhillians Cricket Club Won by 237 runs

Match report TM's Sunday side posted their biggest ever win in this amazing game.

After checking the fixture strength with Harish, Roger fielded a reasonably strong side on the understanding the opposition were up to it.

Roger won the toss and decided to bat.
Steve Murdoch opened the batting with Raf Ahmad, who was playing his first game of the season. The batting was assured as we moved on to 64-0 in the 13th over. Then to everyones complete shock, Murdo on 26, played on...64-1 and our best batsman gone.
Webby came in to replace him and the pair put on an awesome partnership of 183, with Raf bringing up his century with a six and departing shortly aferwards for an incredible 106.
In came Arjun who was looking great and played a Dilshan style flip over the keepers head for four. Unfortunately though, he tried the shot again, but the keeper had anticipated it and took a great catch.
Mani came in and tried to slog. This is clearly not his game...bye bye middle stump.
In came P.K with seven balls left and Webby, who had never scored a century in his cricketing life, on 95.
P.K. defended to leave Webby on strike for the final over. Instructions were shouted in Hindi to P.K, so as to not upset Webbys concentration. Webby missed the 1st ball, then knicked a single. 96, but the strike lost.
Cue more shouting to P.K. The bowler runs in, and crash P.K smashes him for six. Much furious shouting at P.K and Webby is told his score. In comes the bowler again. P.K. tries to drive a single, but it flies of his middle and goes for four. Two balls left. In comes the bowler. This time P.K dabs the ball down and Webby is backing up so far he's almost completed the run before P.K moves. Final ball. One chance of glory. Four for the century. In comes the bowler. A lofted Webby drive. A sprawled out fielder and YES a century for Mike Webb off the final ball and a huge total of 298-4 to boot.

Much celebrating was done and tea was taken.

Tm's came out to bowl, knowing that Harringey had a huge mountain to climb to get near us.
They clearly had some guys who could bat, but they proceeded to unerringly pick out fielders with every shot and with some good bowling by Messrs. Dearing, Madhasaravanan, Sakthivel and Luck, backed up by some fine catching by Arjun Chopra, Mani Periyasamy, Raf Ahmad and Mike Webb, the innings was over in 23 overs.
61 all out and a 237 run victory.
Both teams were sad about Harringeys demise, but although they had not done themselves justice with the bat, they had shown great courage and determination in the field and I think most of the TM's had very much warmed to them.
Despite the defeat they stayed on for several drinks and a good chat afterwards. We certainly enjoyed their company, but we all questioned the desire to keep this fixture in our respective fixture cards.
Some of us however will remember this fixture for a very long time......
