Match report Having won the toss, the visitors elected to bat and got off to a solid start reaching 68-0 at the first drinks interval , they continued after the break in a similar fashion until Imran (20-4-79-4) made the all important breakthrough. With Waqar Ali (16-1-56-3) bowling a tight penetrative spell from the other end the pair bowled well together to restrict the run rate to around four.The innings finally concluded after 53 overs with Hertingfordbury reaching 228-8.

TMs were confident that 228 was but a par score on a flat track and were in the game at 110-1 in the 27th over. However, after a wonderful second wicket century partnership between the in-form Aniket (50)and debutant Waleed Khan (51) the wheels well and truly came off the innings with 5 wickets falling in 3 overs leaving the home team on 118-7. Rizwan (16) and Imran (15) managed to get up to the batting points but could manage little else as the innings finally subsided to a woeful 157 all out.

Not helped by last minute cry-offs, an initial lethargic fielding display and a mystifying approach to what one assumes was batting by the middle order this was probably the worst performance of the season. Somehow we managed to get an undeserved 12 points so all was not lost but lessons need to be learnt and quickly.
