Match report A thumping win over a young Chorleywood side keeps the 1s on course for promotion with just 14 points needed in their final fixture against Langleybury next week. Once again, the Wellington bomber, Steve Murdoch, does the damage with bat and ball taking 7 wickets and hitting an unbeaten 43. Garth Jones bowled exceptionally well for his 1 wicket, and chipped in with a quickfire 28 to ensure the runs were knocked off in just 16 overs. Will Porterfield was unbeaten on 25. However, the win was overshadowed after skipper Shaun O'Brien and Murdoch were whisked away by officials following claims that the TMCC fantasy league results have been manipulated to their advantage. In particular, officials want to know why Murdoch bats for so long, and doesn't get out much: one suggestion is he is concerned about his average. Furthermore, they wish to know why O'Brien has tossed him the ball ahead of recognised bowlers in the side. A spokesman said that O'Brien and Murdoch are 'helping with inquiries'.
