Totteridge Millhillians Cricket Club 1st XI v Hoddesdon on Sat 29 May 2010 at 12:30pm
Match was Abandoned

Match report In the absence of cricket, I bring you, erm, cricket...

With rain having affected play to such an extent that there is nothing of any note to convey regarding this fixture, I will, in the style of old-school BBC Test Match coverage, treat you to a pair of ‘classic fixtures’ from TMs' vast archives (i.e. two games from this time last year).

The first match, brought to you by Rizwan Siddiqui, is a real family affair in which the Hussain brothers (not to be confused with the Hussein brothers) introduce Shenley Village to Dire Straits. Enjoy the exploits of Nozmul (the Sultan of Swing) and Aleem (the Solid Rock) by copying the link below and pasting it into your internet browser of choice...

Our second 'classic' comes courtesy of an IPA-guzzling moron who watched a TMs 3rd XI pull off a staggering Phil Collins* in the presence of flamenco legend, Juan Martin. Special mention goes to Hilton’s magic boots and yes, all this (and more) really did happen. Again, copy the link below and paste it into your chosen internet browser to enjoy...

* Please don't take this literally. I'm not suggesting that the millionaire pop star (drunk or otherwise) was interfered with on Rickmansworth C.C.'s verdant sward. A Phil Collins is simply a victory obtained Against All Odds.
